A Little Taste of Birthday and Christmas

Here is the beautiful birthday princess.
Navie is showing you her spread, just a sampling of the gifts. She is one lucky kiddo!

My first homemade birthday cake. Jason helped with the actual shape.
My very own homemade wreath for the door. (made with leftover ornaments from wedding reception)
Navie gave the baby Jesus lots of presents. She was the 3 wisemen.
Showing off the sweet costumes.

The big kitchen reveal. It looks wonderful. There are just a few details to finish.
I wish the camera did it justice. It looks totally sweet.

Snow Much Fun!

We woke up to about a foot of snow outside on Tuesday morning. We couldn't wait to get outside to play. We pulled Navie around the streets on her sled.
Being such a wonderful husband, Jason muscled up and shoveled off half the driveway...not a simple task. (In between the cars you can see Navie on her sled.)

Getting all geared up. I love seeing her in her bibs.

Our huge snowman.

Navie kept asking to give the snowman hugs.
No trees = No branches = No arms for our masterpiece. And yes we spray painted the wood circles we used for eyes and he almost looks like he is wearing glasses.

The next day we came out again and made a baby snowman for Navie.

Christmas Surprises

Jason used his Christmas surprise (jigsaw, router, and circular saw) to make an amazing play kitchen for Navie. Here is a sneak peek. This is the fridge with the door open. Jason made it so Navie can put food items in the door of the freezer. Cool!
Here is the top of the sink. It is going to look super sweet when it is all done. Imagine a little drying rack on the left.

Here is the line-up. It needs some paint and a few more finishing touches. Just wait till you see the final product!
Jason has been working so hard. We got the plans from a great website and one day while we were buying the wood for the fridge, there was a guy behind us in line and he asked what we were building. We told him it was kitchen for Navie and he was like I'm making the same thing from the same website and everything. What a small world!

Daddy/Daughter

I was doing the dishes the other night and I look up and this is what I see. My two favorite people reading side by side.

Stay tuned because December is going to be a great month for us. Navie is turning 3 and I am really getting into it this year. I feel like I'm pulling out all the stops. Also I have been super excited for Christmas this year. I think it is because I finally have my own house to decorate. As soon as I get things looking good, I'll be posting pictures. That probably makes me a dork.

K-nuffle Navie

Some of you may be familiar with this darling book by Mo Willems. Well they turned it into a musical by adding (alot) to the story. It was quite entertaining and Navie was asking for more when it was over. It was our first real family date night. So Fun!
This is as close as Navie will get to having a Knuffle bunny of her own. They wanted you to pay $20 for that little rabbit. Sorry, not in this life. It was tempting because she was so sweet with it!

Waiting for the show. Glad we had to pay for a third seat so I could put my purse and our coats there.

Bumper and Patios

A little update on the backyard. (I will never figure this picture order thing out!) And why this is underlined...no one knows for sure.
Our hands...the concrete was pretty dry when we finally got our hands in it.

We have a lovely patio.
In order to change the headlight on the Altima, you must remove the entire front bumper. Take a look!
Poor little blue care...it doesn't even look the same.
Don't be fooled...Jason is the mechanic. I'm just the Vanna White.

Halloween fun

So excited about Halloween and cousins!
Showing off the costume that also doubles as her dress-up on an every day basis.

The pumpkins. Navie's bat, daddy's monster, and mommy's spider - thanks to Navie's fingers.
Some of the cousin's pumpkins.

Playing in the corn...Navie would have come to play everyday if we would have let her.

If you look just behind Jason to the left, you'll see our house. That's right...we live right behind the pumpkin patch!

The Stone called Yellow

Our first trip to Yellowstone. We had a great time. Here are some of the shots we captured with what we had left of our camera battery. This is us waiting for...
this. A little thing called Old Faitfhful. Sadly we saw mostly steam as opposed to water.

One pound burger at Big Judd's! We left about 1/4 there.
Navie is like please, what is so special?

Buffalo crossing

Tower falls and chocolate faces

Zoomed in but I like this picture.

In the cave
at Craters of the Moon

Climbing out of the cave

Camping and potty training...quite the adventure.

Navie's Tricks

Navie made this little safe haven in the linen closet while I was vacuuming one day.

Navie loves "sitting" (no driving yet) in this power wheels. Poor cousin Ella always has to be the passenger.

I was really proud of this hair-do.

This is the new way to wear your nightgown. Navie has the potential to be a fashion designer.

Looking at the baby chicks with her friend Aubrey.

She rode a horse. She wasn't even scared, in fact she loved it!

Sometimes when Navie eats these days, she actually uses a fork or spoon.

Navie has a plethora of hat tricks!
