Christmas Fun

What a fun Christmas we had this year. This post includes:

Rudolph car: While at the good old Dollar Store one day, Jason sees this little reindeer car kit. We decide for $1, it'll be fun. After driving around for about 3 days with our new embellishments, we lose both antlers within minutes of each other. Navie starts balling in the back seat. Jason and I were pretty set on not buying another set but lets face it, we were actually pretty sad about losing them too. So back to the Dollar Store to get more. Don't worry we learned our lesson. We put the antlers on the back windows and LOCKED them. This ensured that we had to unlock the window before rolling it down. It worked. We still got 'em.

I finished the tree skirt 3 days before Christmas this year (I started it about a month after Christmas last year). Finishing a project is such a great feeling!

Opening presents and trying on new dress ups.

The countdown is coming to an end. Once this paper chain is gone, then Jason will not have to work any more shifts as an RN! Only 4 1/2 shifts to go!!

Oh Happy Day!

Jason is mine forever and all eternity. To add to an already special day, Jason and I got sealed on December 10 in the Mount Timpanogos temple. It was a glorious day and a fantastic weekend with family and friends.

Also, that is the skirt that I made with a little (or a lot) of help from my mom. And also a shout out to my sister-in-law who helped document the day.

Tangled Birthday Party

After a wonderful morning at the temple, we went home and had a fun birthday party for Navie. We had lots of cousins and aunts and uncles in town including grandpa and grandma. We started the party off with a rousing game of Pin the Braid on Rapunzel (boys got to pin the frying pan). Then each little one made a Pascal party blower. Navie opened presents. She loved her presents especially all the princess stuff given by the aunts and uncles. We ate some delicious cake. Then to wrap up the evening, the whole crew headed to the Riverwoods to check out the Christmas lights.

I can't believe our little girl is 4 years old already. Navie loves to play princesses but she humors me and we get to play babies every so often. She loves reading books and going to the library to find new princess or Barbie books. Navie loves mac and cheese and orange juice. She is a nice friend and likes to play on daddy's cell phone. She is also getting very tall.

Take Me to Bermuda...

We're moving!! And we are going to be living at Bermuda Island.
There will be tennis, swimming, fresh-baked cookies daily and let's not forget frequent trips to the gorgeous gulf beaches.
Paradise baby...I'm coming!
I will probably become best friends with these guys. Jason tells me that Naples (where we are moving to) is nicknamed "Dolphin Bay." Love it!
The real reason why we are packing up and heading to this beautiful land is for CRNA school. My smarty-pants, hard-working husband is going back to school and taking me and Navie on a lovely "vacation" while he does so. School starts the beginning a February and I started packing boxes last night. We are a teeny-bit excited!

Discovery Museum

We had a super fun day at the Gateway Discovery Museum on Tuesday. Navie started the day with preschool. Then we had lunch with the cousins and drove to the museum. Navie and all the cousins played for a good 3 to 4 hours. Navie's favorite part was.....(drum-roll please)....the dress-ups!
In the farm area dressed as a puppy which she thought was a lamb.
After playing for so long, they worked up quite the appetite. So a trip to McDonalds was in order.
I had a hard time getting a good smiley picture.
As if all of that was not enough, we ventured to Temple Square to see the beautiful, sparkly Christmas lights to wrap up the day. Needless to say, Navie was fast asleep as we drove home.
I loved this "action" shot. She really needed to get some strawberries but couldn't quite reach 'em.
Good old baker, housewife, firefighter combo.
Playing puppy in her house.
Checking out the Life-Flight helicopter on the roof with baby Ashley.

The museum was great especially with half-off coupons from Google. They had plenty of cool stuff to explore. Another great part, as we left the museum we went to wave to Santa and he gave Navie a Christmas coloring book. Navie also got to tell him that she wanted a Tangled Tower for Christmas. It was a great day.

Halloween

Navie dressed up as Rapunzel this year with the long hair and all. If you ask her, she was Tangled.
Navie couldn't smile normal because she couldn't mess up her lipstick.
We got to trick or treat with cousins. We had a really cute group filled with ninjas, super heroes, princesses, lady bugs, and ice cream cones.

Don't forget the red princess lipstick.

It's Autumn Time

We Pricketts have been out and about enjoying this lovely fall weather. Here is a pretty in depth look at what we've been up to.
I was finishing a book a few weeks ago and Navie grabbed a few books of her own to join me.

We went to check out some gardens in Orem the other day and Navie was walking just like daddy. I love it when she mimics her daddy.
Gotta get some pics with the railroad tracks in the fall. So we did.

Someday we'll have some good family pics taken but for now here we are.

The whole family took a turn to be buried in the corn this year. Don't worry we've already been to pumpkin patch out in front of our house 3 times this October.

Navie's likes the little donkeys best. I, on the other hand love the HUGE pig laying down behind her.
Navie was helping while I folded laundry.
Not to worry...One week after planting our bright, beautiful mums, this is what mother nature brings to our front door. Here's hoping they'll bloom again next year.
