Ang Birthday Part One

Those that know me well, know that I like to celebrate my birthday for the whole month. This post is only the beginning of my birthday celebrations. We went to the Orlando temple the day before my birthday and had a DELICIOUS lunch at Five Guys. (A new tradition started with Ashley last year).

Jason wants you to know that everyone knows...the camera adds 30 pounds.

On Sunday, Jason and I spent the day together. It was wonderful. We played card games by the pool and ate free chocolate silk pie from the clubhouse. We watched one of my favorite movies, "The Fugitive" on TV. My birthday has been great so far. Now I just need my favorite little girl to come home so we can have ice cream cake and presents.

Look What I Made...

I spent absolutely no money to make this. It's not as cute as the one I tried to copy but that is because I had to print my letters on white paper as opposed to using scrapbooking letter stickers. It's going to get the job done however. I couldn't be more pleased. I used an old CD and some free scrapbook paper I got years ago.

Valentine's Day

I am in love with pinterest. Thanks to pinterest we had a fantastic Valentine's Day. I made this picture frame and several other little valentines for Jason. Jason wrote me a wonderful poem and brought home pink flowers on the motorcycle for me. Crazy to think that 3 years ago we spent our first Valentine's together and now here we are...still crazy in love!

(This is not the one I actually made, this is the image from pinterest).

We also enjoyed our first sunset on the beach on the Sunday before V-day. Navie got some Valentines in the mail from her other family. We went to the beach. We ended the day with our friends for some pizza and chocolate covered strawberries. Thanks Aaron and Katie. It was a great one for all.

DisNey WoRld!

Don't worry, we broke the camera just days before we left for Disney. All the pictures were taken with Jason's phone. Getting the pics off the camera is quite the chore. This is what I got so far.
Day 1: Hollywood Studios
We had lots of fun our first day. We saw an amazing Beauty and the Beast show to kick things off. We played as shrunken kids at Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. This was super cool. I loved that movie as a kid. We saw a cool car show and played a 3-D video game with Woody and Buzz.

Day 2: Magic Kingdom
After you give up your left arm to park at Disney World for the day, the worker wishes you "Hope you have a magical day." I laughed so hard as I heard this driving in. As I was coming back to my car on the ferry boat at the end of the day, I was telling Jason all about the magic I felt that day. I couldn't believe it, I had been suckered in.
Navie was perfect. She wasn't shy with the princesses. She was so excited that they were actually talking to her. All the excitement was too much to handle, she was fast asleep before we got down main street.

Day 3: Animal Kingdom
I really liked this park. We went on an African Safari and seriously saw giraffes and rhinos like within 10 feet of us with no fences. There were tons of hippos and crocodiles and elephants. Navie also starred in the Lion King show we went to. She was so brave and adorable. It was one of my proudest mother moments. She did exactly what she was supposed to do. Timon personally thanked her for her help and she got a kiss from him. (If I can figure out how to get the video off of Jason's phone, you will get to see it with your own eyes).

Alligator Alley

There is seriously a road here called "Alligator Alley." It's not hard to see why...the alligators are everywhere. We went for a little walk on the board walk and we saw a mommy alligator with like 7 babies sitting on the log. It was rather exciting. They were only like 10 feet away from us. We saw a "strangler vine" on the large tree (pictured above). We saw a bald eagle and lots of other little birds and turtles. There weren't even bugs to eat us either. The weather is gorgeous these days.
